Power comes from an oversized brass main gear paired with a precision C-6191 brass pinion gear, both supported by Okuma’s advanced Flite Drive™ System. With top, middle, and bottom support for the pinion gear, Flite Drive dramatically improves gear stability, reduces friction, and extends gear life under extreme pressure. A double ball-bearing-supported pinion gear and frictionless main shaft design further enhance smoothness and cranking efficiency.

The Tesoro’s premium Carbonite® Dual Force Drag (DFD) system is pre-lubricated with Cal’s Drag Grease to deliver exceptional drag consistency, higher maximum drag pressures, and smooth startup performance throughout the fight. A lightweight titanium spool shaft reduces overall weight while minimizing flex during heavy drag applications, and a dual anti-reverse system provides maximum security against handle back play.

Equipped with 12HPB + 1RB corrosion-resistant stainless steel bearings, the Tesoro offers an incredibly smooth retrieve, while the Even Flow Line Roller with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating minimizes line twist and reduces friction with braided lines.
